In-Person Examinations

Kryterion Testing Centers

In-person examinations are held at Kryterion owned testing centers across the United States year-round.

Testing centers will provide you with a computer, have a reliable internet connection, and will have the software downloaded to the computer. While in-person proctoring does not allow you to take the exam from your home or office, it is a reliable and safe option.

What to Expect on Exam Day

To provide a fair and consistent environment for all candidates, the exam is delivered using standardized procedures and following strict security protocols.

Should you have any difficulties with testing centers once you arrive to sit for your examination, please reach directly out to us at cesp@apse.org. We will work to address the issue.

As an exam candidate, you must present two different forms of identification. At least one of those identification documents must be a government-issued “photo” ID. Missed Appointment

Your registration will be invalid (expired), you will not be able to take the examination as scheduled, and you will forfeit your examination fee if you:

Do not reschedule your appointment with Kryterion at least 72 hours before the scheduled examination,
Do not appear for your examination appointment,
Appear after examination start time, or
Do not present proper identification and letter of authorization when you arrive for the examination.

CESP Hosted Exam Locations

The CESP examination is also administered through Hosted Exams. Unlike exams held at Kryterion Testing Centers, hosted exams are proctored by APSE's network of volunteers and therefore depend on our volunteers' availability.
