What is the application and review process?

Eligibility Application Process

Registration for an exam session is open to all employment support professionals who meet the eligibility criteria. 

Certification candidates must submit their Eligibility Application and be approved before taking the CESP™ examination.

The application will request eligibility documentation and payment.

Once your application has been submitted, the review timeline is followed. See below for more information.

STAGE NEXT STEPS
Application Submitted Once you have submitted your application, you will receive a confirmation email through your APSE Apply Survey Monkey account at www.apse.smapply.org. Your full application documenting all eligibility requirements must be submitted by the application deadline for you to sit for the examination window.
Initial Review by ESPCC for Eligibility You will receive notice of your eligibility via email within 10 business days of successful application submission. Please note that applications submitted within three business days of the window closing will be denied if missing key eligibility information.
Application is Pending Should your application be marked pending, additional documentation is required to document eligibility and details will be provided via email. You will need to resubmit with additional information within 30 days.
Receive "Approved" Notice via email If approved, candidates will receive a scheduling email within 10 days of approval. This email will include all scheduling links and instructions.
